Munich-based communications agency Schwartz Public Relations is expanding its consulting portfolio and dedicating a unit to greentech/cleantech/energy communications. The new unit will focus on topics and existing customers relating to renewable energies, energy-efficient technologies, sustainable construction, e-mobility, and the circular economy. It will also expand its new customer business in this sector. For that, Frank Brodmerkel (57), founder and owner of the Munich-based communications agency Grüne Welle Kommunikation, will join the team at Schwartz PR. The greentech expert and senior consultant has been supporting businesses in this segment for almost 15 years.
Green technology has become a decisive driver in almost every industry on the way to a climate-neutral, sustainable economy and society. “Across most sectors and markets, technologies have emerged that make an important contribution to tackling the climate crisis, by making products and processes more sustainable – i.e. more energy- and resource-efficient – and by reducing, avoiding or eliminating environmental pollution at all levels”, says Christoph Schwartz, founder of Schwartz Public Relations, on the close interdependencies between greentech and technology in general.
In the 30 years since its founding, Schwartz Public Relations has supported a broad range of clients in the fields of renewable energies, battery storage, building technology, sustainability and e-mobility, and has therefore already built up a wealth of greentech experience. With the newly formed unit and its area of expertise, the agency now offers this experience through a specialized team of consultants, reflecting the increasing importance of green technologies as an interdisciplinary topic for almost all businesses.
Greentech specialist Frank Brodmerkel joins the Schwartz PR team
The agency is emphasizing its commitment to greentech with a strong new addition to its team: Frank Brodmerkel is an experienced PR expert who has been specializing in communication for green technologies for many years. Prior to bringing his experience to the Schwartz PR team, Brodmerkel has been owner of the Munich-based PR agency “Grüne Welle Kommunikation” for more than 13 years.
“I look forward to joining one of the most renowned technology PR agencies in the German-speaking market and to be contributing my expertise,” explains Brodmerkel. “Together, we will continue to develop and expand the greentech and energy sector.”
“The global market for greentech and cleantech has been growing at an above-average rate for years. In Germany in particular, it exceeded the EUR 100 billion mark for the first time in 2023. It is forecast to reach a volume of over 850 billion euro by 2030. Technologies and solutions that help to stop the climate crisis have become an important driver of innovation and growth, and the transformation towards a sustainable economy is an irreversible process. As a leading technology agency, we are aiming to strengthen our position in this field and expand our range of consulting services. Consequently, we are happy to welcome Frank Brodmerkel as part of our team”, says Christoph Schwartz.
