Applying for a job done differently – and we hit it off right away.

How do you successfully kick off your career in the communications industry? And what role does the agency's own "Training on the Job" programme play to do so? Verena Pretzsch, Account Manager at Schwartz PR, gives further insights and shares the experiences of her first months as a consultant at Schwartz PR.

Speed dating for the job? It works! In only a few minutes you can gain valuable first impressions about the participating agencies and your potential new employer. Besides a dozen other agencies, I also got to know Schwartz PR, the communications expert for the IT and tech sector during a job speed dating event in Munich – and we hit it off right away. I started as a trainee with the agency’s own “Training on the Job” programme. What does that mean? “Hands-on” right from the very first day! I was directly involved in every aspect of the job, took responsibility even for challenging tasks and was in direct contact with the clients from day one. And I always had the entire team and experienced consultants at my side to implement different projects.

Today, I am an Account Manager at Schwartz PR, consulting various clients from the B2B and B2C sectors in their communication strategy and implementation – from tech stories about creative applications of AI to smart drones as well as secure company premises or organising a launch event for new loudspeakers.
